Our community program provides opportunities for players of all experience levels to get involved in the game, whether you are new to cricket, returning to the sport, or looking to continue playing in a supportive and enjoyable team environment.

Program Overview

An Inclusive and Enjoyable Cricket Environment

Women’s Community Cricket at Redlands Tigers forms part of a growing Brisbane-wide competition supported by Queensland Cricket, designed to provide meaningful playing opportunities for women and girls across all levels.

These competitions offer a flexible and enjoyable environment for players, with formats suited to different experience levels, availability and goals — while still maintaining a strong sense of competition and team connection.

Community cricket plays an important role in developing players, building confidence and supporting progression through the broader women’s cricket pathway.

Competition Structure and Formats

Redlands Tigers competes within the Brisbane Women’s Cricket (BWC) competition, which includes a range of formats designed to suit different players and stages of cricket.

These may include:

  • One-Day Competition (Rebecca McCoombes Cup)
A 35-over format played primarily on weekends, providing a structured and competitive game environment

  • T20 Competition (Kirsten Pike Plate)
Short-form matches often played under lights during the week, ideal for players seeking a flexible and enjoyable format

  • Girls Transition Competitions (Stage 3 / Harris Shield)
Development-focused competitions designed to support junior players moving into senior cricket

These competitions are supported by Queensland Cricket and form part of a broader pathway that connects junior, community and Premier Cricket opportunities across Brisbane
